The most anticipated part of the building process has begun! The windows are in and we're ready to close up the home before winter is upon us. We're starting on the north wall; our "ugly wall" and the least visible, in order to figure out this whole chinking thing. I had help recently with some visiting family members. We wrapped up the insulation and nailing in about a full day. Just to note - there's approximately 200 nails per course at 14 courses that adds up to some nails! Thanks for the free nails Chuck but I continue to shop for deals on used or surplus nails. And yes we did use some lath in the larger gaps.
